2025 - Senior Season at Carolina

Was an integral part of UNC’s special teams unit this season and led the team in scoring with 77 points
Was 19-for-23 on field goals and a perfect 20-for-20 on extra point attempts
Against Wake Forest, Verhoff set the program record with a 57-yard field goal as time expired in the first half
His boot was two yards longer than Dan Orner’s 55-yarder against Syracuse in 2002, which stood as the previous best. His kick was tied for the longest by any kicker in the ACC this season
His 19 field goals made were tied for the fifth most at UNC for a single season

2024 - Junior Season at Marshall

Saw action in all 11 games in which he played as the team’s starting placekicker while also splitting kickoff duties
Was 14 of 19 on the season and hit 13 of his last 15 after starting the year 1 of 4
Also connected on all 40 PATs
Perhaps most crucial effort was against JMU when he ran for 9 yards and a 1st down, which led to the game-tying TD and also hit a 49-yarder in OT in frozen conditions in the Herd’s comeback win
Had 3 FGs, including a career-long 51-yarder at Georgia Southern and also had a 49-yarder against Georgia State
Of his 42 kickoff attempts, 29 went for touchbacks

2023 - Sophomore Season at Marshall

Saw action in all 13 games as Marshall’s starting kicker and kickoff specialist
Had 61 kickoffs with 34 touchbacks while also going 11 of 18 on FG attempts and a perfect 32 of 32 on PATs
His season-long field goal was 44 yards in the Frisco Bowl against UTSA
Also had a 44-yarder against Coastal Carolina and went 2-for-2 against Old Dominion and NC State with longs of 42 and 43 yards respectively

2022 - Freshman Season at Marshall

Saw action as Marshall’s starting kicker and also had some spot duties as a punter for the Herd
Finished the season 13 of 20 on field goal attempts and was 33 of 35 on PATs
Was a perfect 5 of 5 from inside 30 yards on field goal attempts
Won SBC Special Teams Player of the Week after hitting four field goals to account for all the points in Marshall’s 12-0 win at Old Dominion
Longest punt was a 55-yarder against Louisiana

High School / Prep

Attended Columbus Grove High School
Served as the team's primary kicker since his freshman season
Named an Honorable Mention All-State selection as a senior in 2021, helping Columbus Grove win the conference championship that season
Also received First Team All-Area and First Team All-Region
Collected First Team All-County and First Team All-Conference honors
