Garyn Berry is from Johannesburg, South Africa, and serves as a graduate assistant with the field hockey team in 2024.

He did his undergrad at the City University of Hong Kong and at UNC, majoring in economics. Berry served as a student manager for the UNC field hockey team in 2023-24.
