AS A JUNIOR (2004)

AS A SOPHOMORE (2003)
Batted .312 in 45 games, including 28 starts Finished fifth on the team with six home runs and also drove in 26 runs Also scored 24 runs and stole four bases in five attempts Lifted the Tar Heels to a 7-6 win over VCU on April 15 with a pinch-hit three-run homer with two out in the ninth Hit a pinch-hit grand slam against Seton Hall on Feb. 21 The four RBI against the Pirates were a career-high Went 2-for-3 with two doubles against Appalachian State on Feb. 25 Had nine multi-hit games, including a career-high three hits versus Virginia on May 17 Went 4-for-9 with a homer, two doubles and three RBI in the two NCAA Super Regional games at South Carolina, both starts.
2002 SEASON
Played in seven games and made two starts before medically redshirting after injuring his ankle Had an RBI in the season-opening victory over Seton Hall on Feb. 15 Went 1-for-2 with an RBI double at Old Dominion on March 5 Hit another double and scored a run in an 11-5 loss at Auburn on March 10. Summer 2002: Hit .292 with five home runs for the Outer Banks Daredevils of the CPL.
AS A FRESHMAN (2001)
Played in 12 games Hit .250 Went 1-for-7 as a pinch hitter. Summer 2001: Batted .296 with the Outer Banks Daredevils of the Coastal Plain League Was named MVP of the CPL All-Star game after hitting a double and scoring the game winning run in the ninth inning.
APEX HIGH SCHOOL
Played football and baseball at Apex All-conference in baseball Team captain as a junior and senior Helped lead Apex to the state 4A title in 2000 and was the MVP of the state championships All-conference football player as a senior and the team captain Named the team MVP, the conference offensive player of the year and is Apex's all-time passing leader. Summer 2000: Played American Legion ball with Apex Post 124 and batted .480.
