Sixth round pick (No. 177 overall) by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2025 MLB Draft.
AS A SENIOR (2025)
• Made 17 appearances with 14 starts for the Tar Heels, logging a 5-4 record with a 3.72 ERA in 75.0 innings. It was the 9th best ERA in the ACC.
• Racked up 85 strikeouts on the season. He finished with the second most KLs in the conference with 32.
• Part of the pitching staff that had the third best ERA in the nation (3.47) and the best in the ACC for the second straight season.
• Named both the ACC and NCBWA Pitcher of the Week following his one-hit complete game shutout of Boston College (3/23).
• He held a no-hitter until the final batter, throwing a complete game 7.0 inning shutout while racking up 11 Ks on just one walk and one hit (the final two batters of the afternoon).
• Appeared in relief for the first time of the season in the ACC tournament semifinal against Florida State (5/24), throwing 3.2 IP allowing just one hit and one run.
