A three-time returning letter winner who has started last two seasons at the attacking center midfield position • excels at the possession game • played in the summer of 2011 in the midfield for the Vancouver Whitecaps of the W League along with UNC teammate Amber Brooks • also played for the Whitecaps in 2010 • a Veteran Leader in the Carolina Leadership Academy Program • member of Carolina's Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
Junior Season (2011)
Played in 19 games last season, missing only the Clemson game with an injury • earned 17 starting assignments • was again amongst the team leaders in minutes played with 1,397 • had her most productive year offensively with four goals and five assists for 13 points • ranked fourth on the team in both goals and points and tied for fifth in assists • scored the game-winning goal against Nebraska late in the second half • had the opening goal in the overtime win over Notre Dame • scored the game-winner against UNC Greensboro and also assisted on the insurance goal in that game • had a goal and an assist in 5-1 win over NC State • assisted on goals against Miami, William & Mary and Baylor • named the GoHeels.com Tar Heel Performer of the Week on August 21, 2011 after scoring game-winning goal in season opener at Nebraska.
Sophomore Season (2010)
Played in all 24 matches for UNC, starting on 22 occasions • was among the team leaders in minutes played with 1,864 • went the entire way eight times with a season high 110 minutes versus Wake Forest in the ACC Tournament semifinals • scored the first goal of her career against Florida State on October 14, a game-winner in the 87th minute which provided the Tar Heels a 1-0 margin • had four assists on the season, one each against Tennessee, Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals, Jackson State and Notre Dame • tapped for the 2010 All-ACC Academic Women's Soccer Team • also earned membership on the 2010-11 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Freshman Season (2009)
Played in 14 games as a freshman • earned her first career start versus NC State • played 53 minutes against the Wolfpack and recorded assists on four of the Tar Heels' five goals in the match • that total equals the second highest mark for assists in a game in UNC history • played a season high 59 minutes in the overtime win over Duke and also played 52 minutes versus Auburn.

Current member of the Canadian National Team Player Pool • currently in the U20 national pool for the Canadian National Team • named to 2008 Canada U17 Women's World Cup Team player pool • a member of the Canadian National Team pools at the U14 thru U20 levels • attended Canadian National Team player camps in August 2007 (Birmingham, Ala.), in August 2008 (Toronto) and in September 2008 (France) • member of Alberta state pool teams in 2003 and 2007 • was a silver medalist in All-Star Canadian Championship in '07 • original member of the Calgary SWU Premiers 90 FC since 2002 • was also with the Calgary Callies in the Alberta Women's Major League since 2007 • under head coach, Raf Premji, her father, the club teams she has played on have combined for an overall record of 275-61-35 (.816) • among the honors she has include being a two-time Canadian national medalist, six-time Alberta provincial champions and 11-time City of Calgary Champions.

Born Ranee Premji on July 8, 1991 in Calgary, Alberta • daughter of Shellina and Rafik Premji • her older sister, Saaraa, played on the University of Calgary varsity soccer team • dreamed of playing for UNC since attending a team camp in 2004 at the age of 13 • geological sciences major.

Section #1: Soccer
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel soccer player is being a part of the greatest college program.
2. My favorite things about competing for Coach Dorrance his honesty and how he pushes each one of us to become the best.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is long service.
4. My greatest strengths as a soccer player are my vision and fitness.
Section #2: Interests
1. Away from the soccer field and academic pursuits I like to spend time watching movies and hanging out with family and friends.
2. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Chris Brown.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a buffet spread at McCaskill that included nuggets, fruit and pizza.
2. My favorite beverage is Dr. Pepper.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is my Mom's crepes.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Armadillo Grill.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is Funfetti Cake.
