General -- Three-year letter winner who assumed a new role on the team in 2006 as the Heels embarked on an NCAA championship run...became the first person off the bench at the forward spot where the Tar Heels substitute a great deal...she had started at forward as a freshman and was then asked to move to the midfield as a sophomore...has always been an opportunistic goal scorer...will likely take a versatile role up top again in 2007...in 2006 Carolina coaches were excited about moving her back up top where she was so outstanding her freshman year...that appears to be her more natural position on the field.
National Team Experience -- Progressively was a member of U.S. U17, U19 and U20 National Teams during her career...trained with the U20 team after her freshman year at Carolina.
Club Soccer -- Played club soccer for the Stars of Massachusetts when they won the 2003 and 2004 state championships and made the regional semifinals...was coached there by Jason Dewhurst...that team also won the 2004 PDA Invitational and Region I league title...her club team won the 2000 Orange Classic...she was named MVP of that tournament.
Junior Season (2006) -- Played in 27 games for the Tar Heels last year, starting four times...had 26 goals and 23 assists in her career for 75 points...she is in a tie for 35th place in career goals at UNC with 26...scored goals last year against Washington, Miami, NC State, Wake Forest and against UNC Asheville in the first round of the NCAA Tournament...also had an assist in the UNCA game...assisted on the game-winning goal at Portland...also assisted on goals against SMU and in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament against NC State.
Sophomore Season (2005) - Started all 25 games at forward or outside midfielder...scored goals in each of the first five games of the year, including a goal and an assist against both Davidson and San Francisco...recorded the game-winning goal in three straight games against Colorado, Davidson and Yale...finished the season with 10 goals and seven assists to place her sixth on the team in total points with 27...was fourth on the team in both goals and game-winning goals...tied for sixth on the team in assists...scored goals in the first two games of the ACC tournament against Maryland and Duke...was named to the All-ACC Tournament team.
Freshman Season (2004) - Was a finalist for the 2004 Soccer Buzz Freshman of the Year award...earned first-team freshman All-America status from Soccer America and Soccer Buzz...garnered ACC All-Freshman Team accolades and Soccer Buzz secondt team All-Southeast Region honors...was tapped as the Soccer Buzz Southeast Region Freshman Player of the Year...2004 All-ACC Tournament selection...named ACC Player of the Week October 11 after a goal and an assist versus Miami and a game-tying second-half goal at Clemson...named to Soccer America Team of the Week on that occasion as well...played in all 23 games for the Tar Heels, 21 of which she started...finished the season with 11 goals and 12 assists for a total of 34 points...ranked second on the team in goals, assists and points...led the team in game-winning goals with four...the game-winners came against Kennesaw State, Miami and the two matchups against Duke...had a hat trick in the Tar Heel victory over California in just her second career game...had a pair of assists against both Mississippi State and Florida State...scored the insurance goal in the win over NC State...had a goal and an assist versus Miami...scored the game-tying goal against Clemson...in the regular-season win over Duke, she assisted on the opening goal of the game and scored the game-winner...had two goals and an assist versus the Blue Devils in the ACC Tournament semifinals...her two second-half goals erased a 2-1 Duke halftime lead and put the Tar Heels ahead 3-2 en route to a 4-2 victory.
Prep -- Graduated May 30, 2004 from the Brooks School in North Andover, Mass....ranked as the No. 11 recruit in the nation in the Class of 2004 by Soccer America magazine...she scored the most goals in Brooks School history with 91 in three seasons...missed her fourth season of high school soccer due to a knee injury...played forward for three years on soccer team, power forward for four years on basketball squad and attacking midfielder for two years on the lacrosse squad...named a 2003 Parade high school All-America in soccer...three-time All-League and All-State selection...named Eagle Tribune All-Star and winner of newspaperʼs golden boot award three times...led Brooks to Class A and ISL titles in 2003 and Class B title and ISL crown in 2002...2003 Eagle Tribune MVP...also named MVP of ISL league in 2003...a 2003 All-Scholastic selection...also excelled on the basketball court where she led Brooks to Class B and ISL championships in 2002 and 2003...was named three times to All-League and All-State Teams...also a three-year Eagle Tribune All-Star and NEPSAC All-Star.
