General -- Coach Anson Dorrance believes Perkins can be a key player on the team as a senior...he believes she has unrealized talent that still has a chance to come out on the playing field...will likely be one of the team's top reserves at forward and on the wing in the midfield...three-time letter winner who started several matches in 2005.
Club Soccer - A four-year member of the Region III ODP Team and a six-year member of the state ODP Team ... played for the Under-19 Region Team in 2003, the Under-17 Region Team in 2002 and the Under-16 Region Team in 2001 ... started at forward for the Greensboro Twisters in the W-League in 2003 and the Carolina Lady Dynamo in 2004 ... played for the GYSA '84 Twisters Green for six years, winning a state championship in 2001 and finishing as a finalist in 2002 and 2003 ... also played for the CASL Spartan Stars Elite, which was a state semifinalist from 1997-99...played for the GSA Phoenix in the regionals in 2004.
2005 Season -- Saw significant action early in the season replacing the injured Lindsey Tarpley...started the first four games of the year in the midfield and appeared in each of the first seven games...played in a total of 15 games with five starts...set career-bests in shots with seven...logged 86 minutes in the season opener against Tennessee.
2004 Season - Played in four games for the Tar Heels, finishing the season with one shot on goal.
2003 Season--Saw action in six games as a freshman as a backup forward.
Prep -- Graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 2003...just the second player in North Carolina state history to win both the Gatorade and NCSCA player of the year awards ... earned North Carolina player of the year honors following her junior and senior seasons....NSCAA All-America in 2003 and All-Region choice in 2002 and 2003 ... named Player of the Year by the News & Observer in 2002 and 2003 ... NCSCA Region Player of the Year in 2002 and 2003 ... four-time All-State, All-Region and All-Conference selection ...
