AT CAROLINA
 Has played in 89 career games and made 48 starts, most at the off-guard position  Has scored 581 points, an average of 6.5 per game  Has developed into one of the finest defensive players in the country  Took 1,000 shots a day in the offseason  Emerged as a fan favorite at the Smith Center because of his great attitude, hustle and defensive presence  Became the second Tar Heel to earn All-ACC Defensive Team honors. 
JUNIOR SEASON (2003-04)
 Played in 28 games and made two starts, both of which came in the NCAA Tournament in Denver  Did not play at NC State or at home versus Clemson due to a sprained ankle he suffered in practice  Earned All-ACC Defensive Team honors with Duke's Shelden Williams and Chris Duhon, FSU's Tim Pickett and Wake Forest's Chris Paul  Was Carolina's defensive player of the game 16 times  Earned that award twice against Duke when he helped limit J.J. Redick to a combined 6 of 21 from the floor and 3 of 13 from three-point range  Averaged 6.5 points and 3.3 rebounds and shot 55.9 percent from the floor  Improved his field goal percentage by 17.6 percent from his first two years  Shot 57.9 percent from the floor in Carolina wins  Cut his three-point attempts from 142 his first two years to 10  Made at least half his field goal attempts in 18 games  Scored in double figures seven times with a high of 15 against Miami (Fla.) FRESHMAN SEASON (2001-02)
 Played in 26 of the 28 games  Averaged 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game  Started 14 straight games at shooting guard before missing two games in January (NC State and Clemson) due to a stress reaction in his left foot  Hit 29 of his 85 field goal attempts in his last 16 games of the season, including 13 of 40 three-pointers  Had a season-high 16 points in the Feb. 27 win over Clemson and 11 points in the win over Saint Joseph's  Had eight points, a blocked shot and a steal in his first college game, against Hampton  Scored eight points, with six rebounds (four offensive) and three assists against Indiana  Hit three free throws late in the game in the win over Georgia Tech  Hit 4 of 5 shots (including 2 of 3 three-pointers) in the win over No. 15 Saint Joseph's  Grabbed a season-high seven rebounds at home against Virginia  Made 5 of 7 shots from the floor and had five rebounds and three steals in the home win over Clemson.

 Led Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Fla., to two state championships  Was named Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Florida  Named all-state for Class 3-A, as chosen by Florida sportswriters  MVP of Class 3-A state tournament as a sophomore and junior  Was the Palm Beach Post Player of the Year as a junior and senior  Played shooting guard at Cardinal Newman  Averaged 20.8 points, 11 rebounds, 4.5 assists and three steals per game as a senior  Born Jackie Kameron Manuel on March 29, 1983.
