Ashley Board joins the University of North Carolina volleyball coaching staff as an undergraduate assistant after completing her four years of eligibility for the Tar Heels. The Raleigh, N.C. native was a constant on the backline for the Tar Heels during her four years as a defensive specialist.

Board finished her career with over 800 digs and 50 service aces while serving as the team captain as a junior and a senior. She earned team Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman after appearing in 29 matches as a defensive specialist. Ranked second on the team in both digs (331) and service aces (30) as a junior, while ranking second in service aces (22) and third in digs (281) in her final campaign.

In addition to her coaching duties, Board is currently completing her undergraduate work toward a degree in sports administration with a minor in philosophy and she is set to graduate in December 2008.
