Baseball Releases 2026 Fall Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Diamond Heels have announced their 2026 fall schedule, with the first official team practice set for Monday, Sept. 7. The 2026 squad that ran all the way to the College World Series Finals returns 18 players while welcoming 23 newcomers to Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium.

There will be more opportunities than ever this fall to see your Tar Heels on the diamond, as head coach Scott Forbes has set four fall scrimmages on the calendar. It is the most the program has ever hosted in an offseason and all will be open to the public free of charge.

The four pack will open with a familiar foe from down the road in the Charlotte 49ers, coached by Carolina alum Robert Woodard. The Heels will host the 49ers for two games on Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 1 p.m.
Next the team will once again host junior college powerhouse Walters State, with the exhibition slated for Friday, Oct. 2 at 4 p.m. ET. No concessions will be available for the games at the Bosh so fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drink.
The team will then conclude their fall slate by continuing their new rivalry tradition exhibition with NC State on Friday, Oct. 16 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Tickets to that contest will go on sale soon.
