Football Unveils Alternate Uniforms Inspired By 1980 ACC Champs

Ahead of its home opener and in conjunction with the 100th Season of Kenan Stadium, Carolina football has unveiled a new alternate uniform for this season inspired by the 1980 ACC Championship Team.
The jerseys feature the text CAROLINA across the front, while the helmets have the UNC stairstep logo donned by Tar Heel greats such as Lawrence Taylor, Amos Lawrence and Donnell Thompson. Ironically, the jerseys with Carolina across the front were only worn during a preseason photoshoot and not in a game during that season.
The game that UNC will don its throwback uniform is to be determined.
