Men’s Soccer Announces 2026 Promo Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – In preparation for the 2026 North Carolina men's soccer home opener, the program has announced its promotional schedule and theme days for the upcoming season.
The home opener this Friday at 7:30 p.m. versus VCU is a Heeligan Takeover, where students will have the opportunity to secure a Heeligan koozie. UNC students interested in a leadership role within the Heeligans student supporter group can email sportsmarketing@unc.edu for more info.
In total, there are eight theme days during the Tar Heels' home schedule. On top of the Heeligan Takeover, the other theme days include Student Appreciation Night vs. Stanford on Sept. 11 and Heeloween on Oct. 30 against NC State. See below for a full list of themes and giveaways.

Sept. 26 vs. Lipscomb (7 p.m.): Kids Club Night – T-Shirts
Oct. 10 vs. Notre Dame (7 p.m.): Alumni Weekend – Scarves
Oct. 27 vs. William & Mary (6 p.m.): Dogs at Dorrance – Dog Ball Toys
Oct. 30 vs. NC State (7 p.m.): Senior Night / Heeloween – Hard Hats
