CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Tennis teams Tuesday afternoon. The teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their excellence in both the classroom and on the court. Reese Brantmeier, Tatum Evans and Alanis Hamilton represent the Carolina women's tennis program on this year's Academic All-District Team.
All three Tar Heels have largely contributed to the program's success this season. Evans leads the way with 17 singles wins with Brantmeier and Hamilton adding 16 and 6 respectively. In doubles, Brantmeier and Hamilton have consistently ranked in the top 15 while compiling 15 wins as partners this spring.
Brantmeier recently completed her studies at Carolina after double majoring in Exercise and Sport Science and Studio Arts with a minor in Global Cinema. Evans is currently pursuing degrees in Media and Journalism (Advertising and Public Relations) and Psychology. Hamilton is studying Computer Science.
To be eligible for the academic award, athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average while being in the team's lineup for 75% of the matches.
