CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 12th-ranked North Carolina wrestling team hosts Stanford Friday evening inside Carmichael Arena, on Senior Night presented by Carolina Alumni.Â

Senior Night In Carmichael
• Prior to the match, the program will honor GA athletic trainer Noah Hogrefe, Charlie Darracott, Nicholas Fea, Max Martin, Ethan Oakley, Carson Tenold, Cade Tenold and Kysen Terukina for their contributions to the program during their time in Chapel Hill.Â
Last Time Out: Virginia Tech
• Sixth-ranked Virginia Tech won eight bouts on the night, defeating No. 13 North Carolina, 29-9, last Friday evening in ACC action.
• The Tar Heels posted a second-period fall courtesy of Nick O'Neill (141) and a sudden-victory decision from Collin Carrigan (174) on the night.
• O'Neill's fall was the first ACC victory of his career, defeating No. 22 Tom Crook. Following Friday's dual, the Philadelphia product has a team-best six falls on the campaign.
• At 174-pounds, Carrigan earned the takedown in overtime against No. 30 Sergio Desainte, to secure his first dual and ACC win of the season.
New Faces, New Places
• Entering year three in the Rob Koll era, the program welcomed nine new faces to the program in the offseason.
• The Tar Heels welcomed two transfers, Bryce Hepner (Ohio State) and Kysen Terukina (Iowa State). Hepner and Terukina, consistent starters at their respective weights, are a combined 23-6 this season.
