• The Tar Heels have won 20 games for the 66th time, the 56th time in 73 seasons in the ACC and the fifth time in as many seasons under head coach Hubert Davis.
• Davis is the only UNC head coach to win 20 or more games in each of his first five seasons.
• The Tar Heels played with its top-two scorers and rebounders, Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar. Wilson broke a bone in his left at Miami on February 10; Veesaar has been sick since the team returned from Miami and is dealing with a lower extremity issue that the staff is monitoring.
• Veesaar and Wilson came into the game accounting for 44.2% of the Tar Heels' scoring and 46.9% of the rebounds.
• Today's starters were Jarin Stevenson (17th start this season), Seth Trimble (16th), Luka Bogavac (14th), Derek Dixon (eighth) and Zayden High (first career start).
• The five starters were a combined plus 63.
• Stevenson and Trimble shared the team scoring honors with 19 points apiece. It was the second time in as many games Stevenson led UNC in scoring (the first two times as a Tar Heel) and the first time for Trimble since he had 22 at SMU on January 3.
• Stevenson's 19 points were a season high, the sixth time he has scored in double figures this season (19th career) and the most since a career-high 22 at Texas on 2/11/2025 while playing for Alabama.
• Stevenson tied his season high with three 3FGs (also in the loss at SMU).
• High set career highs in points (15), field goals (7), rebounds (7) and minutes (32) and tied his career high in assists (2).
• High had played a combined 32 minutes in the previous 12 games.
• Trimble made a career-high nine free throws.
• Bogavac scored 15 points, the most he has scored at home in an ACC game, and led Carolina in plus/minus at plus 17, his best since he was plus 30 against ECU on December 22.
• Stevenson (14), Trimble (13) and Bogavac (10) combined for 37 of UNC's 46 first-half points (UNC led 46-32 at the break).
• Derek Dixon had season highs with seven rebounds and seven assists. The seven assists equaled the most by a Tar Heel this season.
• The Tar Heels committed only four turnovers. It was the 11th time this season UNC committed fewer than 10.
• It was the third time in the last six games Carolina turned it over fewer than five times (four at Virginia, two at Georgia Tech and four vs. Pitt).
• Carolina went 8 for 8 from the floor to begin the game and shot 53.3% in the first half. It was the fourth time in the last five games the Tar Heels have shot 50% or better in the first half.
• The Tar Heels led for 38:57 and never trailed. It was the sixth time this season (third ACC game) Carolina never trailed.
• Carolina is 15-0 in the Smith Center this season. It was the 13th time in 15 home games the Tar Heels have won by double figures.
• The Tar Heels have won 18 straight games when holding opponents under 70 points.
• UNC is 19-9 all-time against Pitt, including 9-3 in Chapel Hill (8-3 in the Smith Center).
