Raio Named USA Lacrosse High School Player Of The Year

SPARKS, Md. – Incoming North Carolina men's lacrosse freshman Anthony Raio has been named the USA Lacrosse High School Boys' National Player of the Year, announced Monday.

Raio, a midfielder from Half Hollow Hills High School, finished his high school career as Long Island's all-time leader in goals with 282, concluding his prep career with 469 career points. This past spring, Raio posted 99 goals and 77 assists to help Half Hollow Hills complete the undefeated season and win the New York State Class A Championship.

Raio, a five-star recruit and the No. 20 overall recruit in the class of 2025 by Inside Lacrosse, will arrive in Chapel Hill this fall.
