11 Tar Heels Picked For 2025 Nexus Championship

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - 11 current and future Carolina field hockey players have been selected for the upcoming 2025 Senior Nexus Championship (NXC). The event is set for July 18-20 at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center.

The annual event includes 144 collegiate and post-collegiate players. Tar Heels selected are Charly Bruder, Molly Catchpole, Coco Courtright (alternate), Hope Haynes, Ryleigh Heck, Dani Mendez-Trendler, and Grace Pottebaum alongside incoming freshmen Reese Anetsberger, Reid Miller, Jenna Narleski, and Merritt Skubisz.Â

A step along the Olympic Development Pathway program, the Senior NXC serves as a selection opportunity for the 2025-26 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team Selection Camps, Junior USWNT Selection Camps, U.S. Women's National Development Squad and U.S. Women's National Team.

The event will start with a team training session on Friday, July 18 with games starting on Saturday, July 19.
