Track Adds Three More All-Time Marks In Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. - The two new top ten marks in the men's discus highlighted North Carolina track and field's second day in Raleigh.
Logan St. John-Kletter (4:19.56) and Cassidy Scott (4:25.50) both won their heats in a competitive 1500m field that produced the three fastest times in the country.
Nick Pennington earned his first win in college by successfully clearing the 5.00m height in the men's pole vault.
Sydney Masciarelli moved into fifth all-time in the women's steeplechase by shattering her personal best by 14.79 seconds as she took a commanding lead in the race and never gave the lead back.
Tommy Kitchell (57.32m) and Matt Appel (54.80m) made their outdoor Tar Heel debuts by moving into the record book for the men's discus by taking over the 2nd and 8th all-time spots.
