CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- In the backend of its Thursday doubleheader, the No. 4 North Carolina Tar Heels (11-3) picked up its second victory of the day after it defeated the UNCW Seahawks (1-2), 7-0 at Chewning Tennis Center.
Even though the match was moved indoors due to the weather, the momentum the Tar Heels gained in their first match of the day continued.
In doubles action, Alana Boyce and Lindsay Zink teamed up to win 6-1 on court one. Then, on court two, Alanis Hamilton and Tatum Evans clinched the doubles point for North Carolina with a 6-1 victory.
Singles play continued to play out in favor of Carolina. All six Tar Heels picked up straight-set victories.
Alanis Hamilton, on court two, kicked things off with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Next, Theadora Rabman collected North Carolina's third point with a 6-2, 6-1 win. On court five, Claire Hill clinched the victory for North Carolina after she won, 6-1, 6-2.
After clinching the match, Alana Boyce, Susanna Maltby and Carson Tanguilig each picked up victories to cap off the 7-0 victory.
