Iadpluem 4th, Women's Golf 10th As Moon Invitational Concludes

UNC's Ing Iadpluem eagled the 515-yard, par-5 fifth hole en route to a 3-under 69 Tuesday in the final round of the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla.

Iadpluem (73-71-69) finished fourth at 3-under 213. It was her best collegiate finish in a full-field tournament and her 3-under total was her best result to par as a Tar Heel.

Carolina shot 2-under-par 286 in the third round, which equaled the fourth-best round of the day. The Tar Heels (302-300-286) placed 10th out of 17 teams at 24-over 888.

Florida State shot 2-under 862 to win the team title by three strokes over Wake Forest. South Carolina was third (+2), Texas was fourth (+8) and Ole Miss placed fifth (+10).

UNC's Megan Streicher and Inez Ng shot even-par 72s today and Helen Yeung carded a 73. Streicher (77-74-72) tied for 40th at 7 over par.

South Carolina's Eila Galitski beat FSU's Lottie Woad in a playoff for the individual title. Both players shot 5-under 211 and finished one stroke ahead of Texas' Lauren Kim and two shots better than Iadpluem.

Iadpluem's previous best was a fifth-place finish in the fall in the Cavalier Regional Preview. The sophomore from Thailand also tied for fourth last season in Scotland in the St Andrews Links Collegiate, a four-team event.
