No. 16 Wrestling Welcomes Virginia On Senior Night

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 16th-ranked North Carolina wrestling team hosts Virginia, Friday night inside Carmichael Arena on Senior Night.

Senior Night In Carmichael
• Prior to the match, the program will honor GA trainer Megan Maxwell, Isaias Estrada, Aydin Guttridge, Gavin Kane, Spencer Moore, Sonny Santiago and Blaze Yawn.
• The first 100 fans will receive a free UNC foam wrestling belt.

• Nolan Neves' victory at 285 pounds served as the difference maker, as the 18th-ranked North Carolina wrestling team defeated No. 15 Pitt off criteria, 16-16.

Neves Named ACC Wrestler Of The Week
• Nolan Neves was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
• In Carolina's win over No. 15 Pitt last Friday night, Neves' victory at 285 pounds served as the difference maker, as the redshirt-freshman defeated No. 13 Dayton Pitzer by decision, 14-9.
• The honor was the St. Paris, Ohio native's first of his career.
