Four Heels Tabbed CSC Academic All-District

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – College Sports Communicators released the 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams. Kate Faasse, Bella Gaetino, Ashley Pennie and Linda Ullmark represent the University of North Carolina women's soccer program on this year's Academic All-District Team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum GPA of 3.50 while competing in 90 percent or starting in at least 66 percent of the team's matches to be eligible for the award.
Kate Faasse started in all 21 matches for the Tar Heels while compiling 11 goals, six assists, and 28 points. The senior captain led the team with 1,920 minutes logged this season. Faasse was tabbed Third Team All-ACC, 2025 Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 (No. 45), and 2025 Midseason Hermann Trophy Watchlist.
Bella Gaetino started in all 21 games while adding one goal, one assist, and three points. The sophomore defender contributed to seven shutouts for the Tar Heels. Gaetino was also named to the 2025 Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 List (No. 81).
Ashley Pennie appeared in all 21 matches with 20 starts this season. The midfielder also dished out two assists while playing a key role in seven shutouts for Carolina. Pennie logged 1,838 minutes during her sophomore campaign.
Linda Ullmark rounds out the Academic All-District honorees for UNC. The sophomore started in all 21 matches logging 1,887 minutes while recording seven goals and a team-leading eight assists. Ullmark was named Third Team All-ACC, 2025 Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 (No. 33), and Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week (Sept. 9).
