XC Southeast Regional Set For Friday In Virginia

CHAPEL HILL, N.C .– Cross Country heads to Charlottesville, Va, for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 14. The women's 6k starts at 10 a.m. EST, and the men's 10k race starts at 11:00 a.m. EST on the Panorama Farms course.
Fans can follow along with the Live Results. The men are on the hunt for their fourth straight top-two finish at the Southeast Regionals.
The last time that Carolina ran on the Panorama Farms course was in 2023, when the men's team put three top 20 performances and finished in third place at the Virginia Invitational at Panorama Farm on Saturday. The women's team registered an 11th-place finish.
Last year, the men's cross-country squad ran to a second-place finish in the Southeast Regional Championship in Rock Hill, SC. The top two spots earned an automatic qualifier into the 2024 National Championship race in Wisconsin. The women's squad landed on the podium with a third-place finish. The top 25 runners in each field earned All-Region honors. Brynn Brown and Fatima Alanis, who finished 11th and 12th, respectively, earned the honors for the women. On the men's side, Ethan Strand, Parker Wolfe, Will Coogan, and Colton Sands finished in the top 25 for the All-Region Honors. Wolfe is the first male Tar Heel to win this honor four times in a career.
The women's team is ranked No. 13 and the men's team is No. 27 in the country by the US. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
