O'Shea Garners USTFCCCA National Athlete-Of-The-Week Honors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Following a successful outing at Panorama Farms for the Virginia Invitational, Ciara O'Shea has been named the women's Division I National Athlete of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
O'Shea garnered the national honors for the week of September 14 after aiding in a team win at the Virginia Invitational while securing an individual win at the event. The Richmond, Ky. native clocked in a 5k time of 16:46.0, eight seconds ahead of the next closest athlete.
The honor marks the first national accolade in O'Shea's collegiate career.
