Men's Tennis Starts ITA Kickoff Weekend Friday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—The University of North Carolina men's tennis team will head west to Winston-Salem for the 2025 ITA Men's Kickoff Weekend, which will take place at 14 regional sites on college campuses across the country this weekend.
The four-team field at the Wake Forest Regional will include fourth-ranked Wake Forest, Memphis, Carolina and Charlotte in action at the Wake Forest Tennis Center .
On Friday January 24, No. 2 seed Memphis will play No. 3 seed UNC at 2 p.m., and top-seeded Wake Forest will face fourth-seeded Charlotte at 5 p.m. Memphis eliminated Carolina from the 2024 NCAA Tournament in a first-round match in Knoxville, Tenn.
The consolation and championship matches will follow on Saturday January 25.
The winner of the Wake Forest Regional will advance to the 2025 ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championship in Waco, Texas, on February 14-18. The Tar Heels won the ITA Indoor National Team Championship in both 2016 and 2021.
Carolina is 1-0 thus far this season after blanking James Madison, 7-0, last Sunday at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill.
