RALEIGH, N.C.—NC State won the doubles point and shutout North Carolina, 4-0, in men's tennis action on Friday evening at the Isenhour Tennis Center.

The 16th-ranked Wolfpack improved to 16-5 overall and 9-2 in the ACC with the victory. NCSU has won eight of its last nine matches.

The 23rd-ranked Tar Heels fell to 13-7, 7-4 ACC, losing their second match in a row. UNC is now tied for fifth in the ACC standings with Georgia Tech (also 7-4). Carolina beat the Yellow Jackets, 4-3, in Chapel Hill on March 1.

State won the doubles point on Friday with wins at No. 3 and No. 2, then won singles matches at No. 5, No. 2 and No. 6 to clinch the team victory.

Carolina will complete its 2024 regular season schedule on Sunday with a 1 p.m. date at Wake Forest. The ACC Championship begins on April 17 in Cary, N.C.
