Wake Forest Trips Men's Tennis, 4-0

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.— Seventh-ranked Wake Forest won the doubles point and went on to a 4-0 victory over No. 23 North Carolina on Sunday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Center. It was the final regular season match of the 2023-24 campaign for both teams.
With Sunday's result, the Tar Heels are the No. 5 seed in next week's Atlantic Coast Conference Championship. UNC will play either Miami or Boston College on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the second round. The top four seeds are No. 1 Virginia, No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 3 NC State and No. 4 Duke.
Wake Forest got doubles victories at No. 1 and No. 3 and singles wins at No. 2, 3 and 5 to earn its 15th consecutive team win.
Carolina dropped its third consecutive match and fell to 13-8, 7-5 in the ACC. Wake improved to 25-5, 10-2 in the ACC.

• The 2024 ACC Championship will run from April 17-21 in Cary, N.C. The Tar Heels will open play on Thursday April 18 at 10 a.m. against either No. 12 seed Miami or No. 13 seed Boston College.
