McNeil Finishes Sixth At NCAA Championships

KANSAS CITY, MO. - North Carolina wrestler Lachlan McNeil finished sixth place at 141 pounds, on day three of the 2024 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. 
Early Saturday morning, McNeil medically forfeited out of the remainder of the tournament, finishing in sixth place.Â

On Saturday, McNeil advanced to the semifinals and earned All-America status for the second-straight season.Â
The redshirt-sophomore became the program's 58th All-America wrestler. In addition, McNeil is the 15th Tar Heel with multiple All-America finishes, and the 12th Carolina wrestler with back-to-back podium finishes.Â
