Shaffmaster, Taylor Pick Up ACC Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mabrey Shaffmaster was named to the All-ACC Second Team and Jackie Taylor was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team the conference announced Monday evening.
Shaffmaster led the Tar Heels in kills (354), service aces (54), and points (431.5). Her 0.47 aces per set ranked fourth best in the ACC this season.
In her first season, Taylor finished the regular season with 137 kills, 107 blocks, and 204.5 points while hitting .284.
Both Shaffmaster and Taylor started all 29 matches and appeared in every set UNC played this season.
For the 20th time in program history and the first time since 2021, the Tar Heels head to the NCAA Tournament. They will travel to Penn State to take on Yale on Friday at 5 P.M. in the first round. The winner of that match will face the winner of the Penn State/Delaware State match.
