
XC Heads To Wisconsin For National Championships

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Cross country sets off in search of its first national championship team title this weekend in Madison, Wisc, on Saturday, Nov. 23.
​​The women's race starts at 10:20 a.m. EST at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course, while the men's race begins at 11:10 a.m. Fans can watch the race on ESPNU, with coverage starting at 9:30 a.m. EST.Â
The women's team is making its 19th appearance as a team, while the men are making its 11th.Â
Parker Wolfe is looking to become the only male Tar Heel runner to earn four All-America honors.Â
Fatima Alanis is on the hunt for her third career All-America honor. She earned her first Division I honor last year as the lone women's team representative and a Division II honor in 2021.
Last time out:
North Carolina men's cross-country ran to a second-place finish in Friday's NCAA Southeast Regional Championship, and the men brought home four All-Region honors. The women's team took third with two All-Region finishes.
Last time at the National Championships
The team recorded its second straight top-10 finish at the NCAA Men's Cross Country Championships, placing sixth – its highest finish since 1985.
