UNC Rallies For 4-1 Quarters Win Over FSU

ROME, Georgia – The North Carolina women's tennis team earned a 4-1 victory over Florida State in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship, from the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.
The five-time defending champion Tar Heels will now face seventh ranked Virginia on Saturday at 2 p.m.
North Carolina (24-1) lost the doubles point to the Seminoles, but quickly rallied with four singles wins from Anika Yarlagadda, Elizabeth Scotty, Reilly Tran and Fiona Crawley to secure the win.
In doubles, court three's Cameron Morra and Tran looked impressive in posting a 6-3 win, however, No. 1 Crawley and Scotty were upset, 6-4, at the hands of No. 54 Petra Hule and Anna Arkadianou on court one.
Alle Sanford and Carson Tanguilig had a chance to close out the match on court three with a 5-3 lead, but the Seminoles rallied to win the final four points and take the 1-0 lead.
The Tar Heels improve to 8-0 all-time against the Seminoles in the ACC Championship.
ACC Network Extra will carry both the men's and women's semifinals and finals on Saturday April 23 and Sunday, April 24, respectively. The men's semifinals are set for 10 a.m., while the women's will be played at 2 p.m. Sunday's title matches begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. An ACC women's tennis recap show will air on ACC Network, May 9 at 7 p.m., followed by a men's tennis recap show at 9 p.m.
