Chapel Hill, N.C. - The No. 17-ranked North Carolina wrestling program returns to action after nearly four weeks, welcoming Appalachian State to Carmichael Arena Thursday evening, for the final home dual of the 2022 calendar year.

Looking Back
The Tar Heels return to the mat for the first time since Nov. 20, when Carolina played host to Ohio State. In the matchup with the Buckeyes, Lachlan McNeil was victorious for UNC, earning the 9-7 decision.

Earlier that weekend, the Tar Heels traveled to Marietta, Ga., competing in the Life U Open. In the event, Wil Guida, Aydin Guttridge, Jaime Hernandez, and Marcus Murabito all advanced to the finals in their respective weight classes, as UNC had 10 participants place on the day.
