Kitty Harrison Final Results

CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina won three of the four singles championship matches held on Sunday in the final day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational.

No. 35 Fiona Crawley defeated No. 76 Marina Alcaide from Old Dominion in the finals of the Carolina Singles Bracket, 6-3, 6-4. Crawley improves to 8-0 in singles play this fall and is now 38-1 in her collegiate career.

Fellow sophomore and 88th ranked Reilly Tran won the Blue Singles Bracket over Auburn's 45th ranked Carolyn Ansari, 6-2, 6-0. Tran is also 8-0 this fall and remains unbeaten as a Tar Heel in singles with a career record of 26-0.

No. 82 Elizabeth Scotty was too much for No. 41 Carly Briggs of Florida in the finale of the Cone Singles Bracket, 6-1, 6-1. The 2021 NCAA Doubles Champion is now 27-4 all-time in singles play.

Carolina returns to the courts for the ITA All-American Championships in Charleston, S.C. The event is scheduled for Oct. 4-10.
