
Men's Tennis Starts ACC Play At Georgia Tech & Clemson

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina men's tennis team will begin Atlantic Coast Conference play for the 2021 season when it travels to visit Georgia Tech and Clemson this weekend. Â
The Tar Heels, ranked No. 1 in the nation in the Oracle/ITA Rankings after winning the ITA Indoor National Championship two weeks ago in Champaign, Ill., will visit Clemson at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and Georgia Tech on Sunday at noon.Â

Carolina is 6-0 this season with home wins over Northwestern, South Carolina and Virginia Tech in addition to its wins at ITA Indoor Nationals over Tennessee, Virginia and Baylor. Its 4-3 win over the Hokies on January 31 came in a non-conference meeting (UNC will visit Virginia Tech in an ACC match on March 26 in Blacksburg, Va.).
The Tar Heels will continue their seven-match road swing next weekend when they visit Louisville (Friday March 5) and Notre Dame (Sunday March 7). UNC's next home match will come on Friday March 12 against Boston College.
