Tar Heels Set For Round of 16 Battle With USC

For the sixth year in a row, North Carolina has reached the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament Round of 16, and for the second year in a row they'll face the same opponent. UNC takes on host Southern California on Saturday in Los Angeles, with a trip to Florida on the line. The winner moves on to the NCAA quarterfinals at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, with action there starting on May 16.

UNC (20-6) is the No. 9 seed in the NCAA bracket and advanced with homecourt wins over Navy and Georgia. USC (22-7) advanced with wins over Northern Arizona and San Diego. The Trojans are the No. 8 seed in the field, with the top eight earning the right to host Round of 16 matches.

Saturday's match will be played at Marks Stadium and is set for 2 p.m. local time/5 p.m. ET. To watch the live stream, click here.
Carolina's 2018 season ended against USC, with a 4-2 loss ot the Trojans in last year's Round of 16. That match was played in Winston-Salem, N.C., site of the NCAA Championships. This year, Round of 16 matches are being played at campus sites with the winners moving on to the championship site.
