No. 11 Tar Heels Hit the Road to Take on No. 3 Wake

The North Carolina men's tennis team, currently ranked No. 11 nationally, travels west to Winston-Salem Wednesday to face No. 3 Wake Forest in an Atlantic Coast Conference battle. UNC, coming off a 4-1 ACC win over No. 23 Miami on Sunday, is 12-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Wake Forest, which won 6-1 Sunday at Boston College, is 21-3 overall and 7-0 in the ACC.

The match starts at 4 p.m. at Wake Forest Tennis Complex.

This will be the second meeting of the year for the Tar Heels and Demon Deacons. They also faced off in Chicago last month in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship semifinals. On Feb. 17, Wake took the doubles point and went on to win 4-2.

Last season's regular-season matchup took place in Chapel Hill almost exactly a year ago, on March 28, 2018. Wake Forest won that one 4-3, handing the Tar Heels their only loss in ACC play. The two shared the regular-season conference title and then met in the finals of the ACC Championship, with the Demon Deacons winning that one 4-0.
