Carolina Travels to Georgia for Midweek Clash

CHAPEL HILL – After picking up a series win at Duke, the Tar Heels travel to No. 8 Georgia Wednesday to face their third of four SEC opponents this spring. UNC has outscored its opponents 39-11 since returning from the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.

Wednesday's game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch in Athens, Georgia. Admission is free to Georgia's Turner Softball Stadium. Fans unable to attend can watch on the SEC Network Plus or follow live stats at georgiadogs.com.

Recently for Carolina (11-9)
Outscoring the Blue Devils 13-4, North Carolina won the ACC series opener against Duke thanks to a 4-2 win Friday afternoon and 8-1 victory in game one on Saturday. The Blue Devils found their way into the win column in the second game of the twinbill with a 2-1 decision.
» Abby Settlemyre was solid at shortstop for Carolina, assisting six plays for a new single-game high.
» Brittany Pickett made her first start on Saturday since Feb. 22 vs. New Mexico State.
» Megan Dray went 4-for-4 in the first game Saturday which ties her single-game high. Dray also had four hits at Virginia on March 31, 2018 when she went 4-for-5.
» Berlynne Delamora's home run in game two on Saturday was her first home run since March 29, 2017.
