Carolina Set To Host Duke For ACC Opener

Sixth-ranked North Carolina will open Atlantic Coast Conference men's tennis play Thursday against Duke, hosting the Blue Devils at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

The Tar Heels are 7-2 overall coming into the match. Duke is 5-5.

This is the second meeting of the season for UNC and Duke – they also played on Jan. 26 in Chapel Hill in the final game of ITA Kickoff Weekend play. On the indoor courts, UNC won 4-1 to advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, where the Tar Heels reached the semifinals for the third time in the past four years. They've been idle since falling to then-No. 1 Wake Forest in the semis on Feb. 17.

Admission to the UNC-Duke matchup is free. There will be free sandwiches from Jersey Mike's, and the first 100 fans at the match will receive free t-shirts.
Fans are encouraged to wear Carolina blue and join the UNC pep band to cheer on the Tar Heels.
