Carolina Takes Care Of ETSU In NCAA 1st Round

North Carolina (30-2) will face No. 30 Northwestern on Saturday at 3 p.m., in the second round with the winner advancing to Tulsa, Oklahoma, site of the NCAA Team Championship finals.
The Wildcats also won 4-0 on Friday morning over No. 42 Ole Miss.
Carolina raced to an early 1-0 lead by picking up the doubles point over the Bucs. On court three, Ashley Dai and Chloe Ouellet-Pizer won 6-0, and second-ranked Hayley Carter and Whitney Kay won 6-4 on court one to secure the early lead for the Tar Heels.
57th-ranked Jessie Aney made it 2-0 in favor of Carolina with a 6-1, 6-1, win over Regina Nychytailova on court two.
Top-ranked Hayley Carter was next off for the Tar Heels on court one, winning 6-3, 6-1 over Lyn Yee Choo.
Minutes later, Chloe Ouellet-Pizer closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Ioanna Markesini on court three.
UNC extends its winning streak to 19 matches with the victory over ETSU.
