SERIES HISTORY
Carolina owns a 4-0 edge in the all-time series with Marshall. Wednesday is the first meeting between the two programs since the 1998-99 season.
LAST TIME OUT
Paris Kea scored a game-high 20 points and North Carolina shot a season-high 51.7 percent to outlast Elon, 78-73, on Sunday afternoon from inside Carmichael Arena.
Kea put together another strong game with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists against only one turnover. Jamie Cherry and Stephanie Watts each chipped in with 17 points and both knocked down a trio of three-pointers.
FASTBREAK POINTS
• Carolina ranks 2nd in the ACC by averaging 8.8 three-point field goals per game.
• Stephanie Watts has four double-doubles this season, tied for the most in the ACC.
• Watts set an ACC record with 10 made three-pointers against Charleston Southern on Nov. 22. She also scored a career-high 39 points, tied for the fifth most points in program history.
• Watts has scored in double figures in every game, and 17-straight games going back to last season. She is 3rd in the ACC averaging 21.4 ppg.
• Paris Kea is 2nd in the ACC with 3.7 (26-to-7) assist-to-turnover ratio. She also ranks fifth in the league in scoring at 18.0 ppg.
