WBB Announces 2026-27 ACC Slate

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – With preseason action picking up next month, North Carolina women's basketball has received its 2026-27 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule with the league announcing the 18-game slate.
Carolina opens league action in December, starting strong with a rivalry matchup against NC State on Dec. 13 from Carmichael Arena as the Tar Heels look to make it four straight wins against the Wolfpack at home. Georgia Tech visits Chapel Hill on Dec. 17 before Carolina resumes non-conference play. Wrapping up 2026 on the road, Carolina travels north to Syracuse on Dec. 31.
In its first game of 2027, North Carolina remains on the road with a visit to Clemson on Jan. 3. Making their way back to the comfort of home, the Tar Heels take on Wake Forest on Jan. 7. The road calls again as North Carolina travels to the Bluegrass State on Jan. 10 to square off against Louisville. Enjoying a week off, the Tar Heels are back in action from Chapel Hill on Jan. 17 against Boston College.
The West Coast calls as North Carolina travels to the ACC's Bay Area foes, traveling to Cal on Jan. 21, followed by Stanford on Jan. 24.
Returning home, two big matchups await to close out the month of January with Notre Dame visiting Carmichael on Jan. 28, and the first of two Tobacco Road rivalry meetings against Duke on Jan. 31.
In search of sunshine, the Tar Heels travel to Florida on Feb. 4 for a weeknight game at Miami. Wrapping the week at home, Virginia Tech visits Carmichael Arena on Feb. 7. A week later, Carolina spends its Valentine's Day in Texas with a trip to SMU on Feb. 14. Remaining on the road, the Tar Heels once again go north and visit Pitt on Feb. 18. Two home games remain, welcoming Florida State to Chapel Hill on Feb. 21 and close out the home slate at Carmichael on Feb. 25 against Virginia. The Tar Heels close out the regular season with a short trip down the road for their second meeting against Duke on Feb. 28.
Returning eight from last year's Sweet 16 squad, North Carolina enters year eight of the Courtney Banghart era with six newcomers, including four transfers and two freshmen. Coming off 14 ACC wins and a third-place finish in the league in 2025-26, the Tar Heels face heavy hitters in non-conference action in Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas Tech, Alabama and LSU before diving into league play.
Fans have their first chance to catch the 2026-27 Tar Heels in action on Oct. 18, as North Carolina hosts Davidson in an exhibition at Carmichael Arena.
Single-game tickets for the 2026-27 campaign will go on sale at a later date.
