North Carolina (18-3, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) earned the doubles point when 11th-ranked Whitney Kay and Caroline Price clinched the 1-0 lead with an 8-7 (7-5) victory at #1.
Ashley Dai and Tessa Lyons won 8-2 at #3 doubles.
In singles, Kate Vialle was first to finish at #4 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Laura Slater was next at #6 to make it 3-0 Tar Heels.
No. 1 Jamie Loeb gave Carolina the victory, winning 6-3, 6-1 at #1 singles to make it 4-0.
Tessa Lyons won at #5 singles, and Ashley Dai won at #3 to wrap up the 6-1 victory over the Panthers.
Carolina will play at Syracuse on Sunday morning.
