CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 9 UNC volleyball continued its strong defensive effort in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-21) victory over Boston College on Friday.
The Tar Heels (16-2, 7-1 ACC) held the Eagles to a -.053 hitting percentage and forced 29 errors in the match. Only two BC attackers finished the match with a positive hitting percentage thanks to a overwhelming UNC defense that had 11.5 team blocks and 39 digs.

“We played fifteen players tonight and were able to take care of business at home. This allowed us to rest Leigh Andrew, Chaniel Nelson, and Victoria McPherson. Ultimately, handling matches like this in conference and getting hard-earned rest will help us in the bigger picture.”
