CHAPEL HILL --- North Carolina won 12 of 14 singles matches to open the sixth-annual Kitty Harrison Invitational Friday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. Shinann Featherston, Gina Suarez-Malaguti, Zoe De Bruycker and Haley Hemm were all double winners on the day in matches against Maryland and Virginia, while Katrina Tsang, Jelena Durisic and Jocelyn Ffriend were also victorious.
In doubles action, Ffriend and Hemm teamed to defeat William & Mary's Acharya and Sabacinski at the top position, while Featherston and De Bruycker won at the No. 2 slot.
