CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 20th-ranked UNC Men's Tennis team completed a doubleheader sweep with a 7-0 shutout of North Carolina Central on Tuesday night.
The Tar Heels' win also kept them perfect on the year, as they have won both matches in two doubleheaders beginning with their season opener on Sunday.
For the second straight match, the Tar Heels lost only six total games in doubles. This time, it was the team of Luke Mojica and Alex Rafiee that led the doubles sweep, losing only one game to Jermaine Byrd and Jose Fabara.
Singles was more of the same for Carolina, as each of their six players won in straight sets. Brennan Boyajian and Kyle Baker led the charge, each winning 6-0, 6-0.
Up next for North Carolina is the ITA Indoor Qualifiers, which the Tar Heels will be hosting. Their first match is against VCU at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31.
