Carolina Kicks Off Furman Fall Classic

GREENVILLE, S.C. --- North Carolina's Laura Reichert, Meg Fanjoy and Alexandra Jurewitz picked up singles wins on the opening day of the Furman Fall Classic Friday at the Mickel Tennis Center. That trio will play tomorrow afternoon for a spot in Sunday's finals.
Reichert defeated Wisconsin's Jessica Seyferth 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 in the flight two quarterfinals. Fanjoy topped Furman's Jessica Preeg 6-1, 7-5 in flight three, while Jurewitz took care of Furman's Lauren Tomory 6-4, 6-2 in flight four.
