No. 11 Tar Heels Top Florida International 4-3

MIAMI, Fla. - The 11th ranked Carolina Women's Tennis team began its spring break road trip with a 4-3 victory over Florida International. Sophomore Jenna Long clinched the match for the Tar Heels with a 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 victory at number three singles.
Kendall Cline and Aniela Mojzis clinched the doubles point with a 7-4 tiebreak victory at number one doubles. Tanja Markovic stepped into the line-up for the first time in several weeks and teamed with Alex Jurewitz to post a huge 8-6 victory at number three doubles. Carolina's victory snapped a five match FIU winning streak. FIU had upset Florida State in Miami on Saturday.
Carolina improved to 12-4 and will face 9th ranked Miami on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Miami match will be a homecoming for assistant coach Tari Toro, who served as the Hurricanes' assistant coach from 2000-2003. This will also serve as the first meeting between the two teams as conference opponents. Miami is led by Megan Bradley, the number one ranked singles player in the country. Bradley and Audrey Banada also compose the nation's fourth ranked doubles team.
