CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Ivory Latta scored 19 points, going 4-for-4 from 3-point range, and North Carolina completed a perfect home schedule Thursday night with an 89-60 victory over Virginia.
Nikita Bell added 13 points, and La'Tangela Atkinson had 10 for the No. 8 Tar Heels (23-3, 11-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who earned their largest margin of victory against Virginia.
North Carolina finished 15-0 at home this season and has gone 58-4 at Carmichael the past four years. The Tar Heels will conclude the regular season Sunday at No. 2 Duke.
Brandi Teamer scored Virginia's first nine points but finished with only 11. LaTonya Blue scored 10 for the Cavaliers (18-9, 7-6).
Virginia made only 21 of 68 field-goal attempts (30.9 percent) and committed 29 turnovers. The Cavaliers failed to make a basket from the 6:06 mark of the first half to 13:57 of the second.
North Carolina stretched its lead to 34 points, 83-49, on a layup by senior Kenya McBee with 3:16 left.
Latta made her first three 3-point tries and scored 13 first-half points to spark North Carolina to a 37-19 lead at the break. The Tar Heels turned 15 turnovers into 14 points in the first half.
