CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill women's tennis team pushed their record to 10-1 as they swept East Carolina 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The sixth-ranked Tar Heels have won their last seven matches and are 6-0 at home. They will play their fourth consecutive home match Wednesday, March 3 when they host William & Mary. The match begins at 2:30 p.m. at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
In doubles play, Aniela Mojzis and Lee Bairos defeated East Carolina's Kirstin Buchanan and Raluca Baicu 8-6. The freshmen duo of Sara Anundsen and Jenna Long cruised past ECU's Ashley Perkenson and Sara Boseman 8-0.

Carolina is ranked sixth according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division I polls released Tuesday. The rankings are voted on by the ITA National Ranking Committee, which is composed of Division I head coaches.
"It's an indication that the coaches are recognizing our accomplishments," Head Coach Brian Kalbas said of the rankings. "I'm proud of the team that they're being recognized."
The Tar Heels, formerly ranked ninth, had huge wins over the weekend after beating Texas A&M, now ranked No. 17, and upsetting Northwestern, now ranked No. 10.
The Tar Heels will have a week off before they face William & Mary on Wednesday, March 3. The Tribe moved up one spot in Tuesday's rankings to No. 16.
