Tulsa Defeats Men's Tennis at Blue-Gray

Montgomery, Ala. - Tulsa defeated North Carolina 4-1 Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Blue-Gray Championships. Carolina was forced to play two matches in a span of six hours because of inclement weather on Thursday.
Freshman Derek Porter maintained his perfect singles record this spring (7-0) by defeating Shunsuke Shimizu 6-1, 6-4 at number four singles. Carolina was leading in the remaining two matches on court when Tulsa's Ryan Livesay defeated Trystan Meniane 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 to clinch the team match.
Carolina (7-3) will play William & Mary in Saturday's consolation round. Tulsa improved to 9-7 and will face Tulane in Saturday's semifinals.
